Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate knowledge or experience in several of the following areas:
- Extensive operational experience of using secure communications and IT systems
- Knowledge and experience of through life management
- A detailed working knowledge of the security requirements for these systems
- An understanding of accreditor requirements and their practical application
- Experience with requirements and restrictions for compartmented systems
- Experience in developing company policies and procedures to ensure compliance
Additionally, the following qualities would be desirable:
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal guidance from the leadership team
- Proven communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Experience in establishing excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Capability to influence decisions
- Willingness to identify and undertake continuous improvement activities
- A valid driving license
The successful applicant will also need to be open to travel across the UK and potentially abroad, and to work extended periods away from home.
Responsibilities
As the NTR Communications and IT Specialist, my role involves supporting through life management, which includes:
- Contributing to the specification of user and systems requirements
- Overseeing procurement and implementation leading to full operational capability
- Providing training, maintenance, and breakdown support
- Ensuring proper disposal of systems
I will be working closely with the NTR Operations team to manage and maintain secure communications and IT systems used by AWE staff. My responsibilities will support response capabilities that NTR is involved with and might include training, exercises, and real deployments.
