Requirements
Must:
- I require a candidate with in-depth knowledge of the Oracle APEX web-based application development toolset and its use to design and develop web applications.
- The candidate must demonstrate competence in developing complex server-side PL/SQL code for data input validation and data import/export.
- Proficiency in JavaScript is necessary.
- A disciplined and methodical approach to configuration control is essential.
- Experience with Agile Development, Azure DevOps, and Scrum is required.
- The selected candidate must have Active SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
- I expect the chosen candidate to lead requirement analysis and produce and review technical design solutions for large, complex programs that support the UK submarine fleet.
- The candidate will lead efficient software development, focusing on good design and considering code reuse and efficiencies along with innovative implementation methodologies.
- I need someone who can apply his or her technical experience and knowledge to evaluate solutions and maintain technical awareness to advise, analyze, and model alternatives.
- The candidate will attend workshops, reviews, and stand-ups to discuss the development project, demonstrate progress, and communicate with project stakeholders.
- I want the selected individual to collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Database Administrators, and Infrastructure resources to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Sharing knowledge with team members within the company is also a key responsibility.
Description
I am offering a 6-month contract position for a Senior APEX Developer, based in Plymouth, Bristol, or Leicester, requiring 2 days per week on-site. The daily rate for this position is £550 (Inside IR35). As a part of our fast-paced Digital Solutions Team in the defence industry, you will play an active role in providing through-life engineering support to the UK naval fleet, ensuring that submarines and submariners can safely go to sea.
