Requirements
Must:
- I require at least 2 years of experience working as an ICT Technician within the education sector.
- You should have skills in maintaining the quality of school computer equipment, installing new and existing software across the network, and providing technical support for users to resolve identified technical problems.
- A high-level knowledge of common user applications and proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 is essential.
- I am looking for someone who is passionate about IT with a solid technical background.
- You must demonstrate strong teamwork abilities, effective organizational and communication skills, and a courteous manner, with the capability to explain technical issues in simple terms to clients.
- I expect you to work independently and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for service improvement is essential.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for supporting communication between schools and our client, ensuring they are informed about the services we offer and managing customer accounts.
- Joining the onsite tech team, you will report to the Trust IT Manager and uphold all IT hardware and services across school sites while assisting in enhancing ICT provisions to enable efficient teaching and learning.
- You will handle a wide range of technical duties related to computer networks and desktop services, particularly concerning existing installations and upgrades.
- This includes repairing or installing computers equipped with standardized applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving operational issues as they arise.
- You will be tasked with managing any technical issues that may disrupt the operational functions of the schools by providing effective technical solutions.
Description
This is a full-time position based in Reading, Berkshire. Please note that you will be subject to an enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks. The salary for this role ranges between £26,000 and £30,000, depending on your experience.
