Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a demanding infrastructure environment, supporting internal stakeholders across multiple locations.
- Experience with end user compute applications such as Windows 10, 11 and Mac OS.
- Familiarity with hypervisor technologies including Hyper-V, VMware and Proxmox.
- Experience with Cisco networking hardware.
- Proficiency in networking concepts including Cisco CLI, VLANs, WAN, VPN, and MPLS.
- Understanding of identity management solutions such as Okta and Microsoft Entra.
- Experience with storage solutions like NetApp Ontap and Eseries.
- Knowledge in VEEAM backup and replication.
- Strong familiarity with Azure and Office 365.
- Understanding of security tools including Mimecast, CrowdStrike, Cisco Umbrella, Rapid 7, BitLocker, and Cisco Meraki/Fortinet.
- Familiarity with telephony systems such as Teams, Webex, Poly, and Logitech conferencing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Self-discipline and passion for technology.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd line troubleshooting and executive IT support.
- Proactively monitor and remediate incidents using approved tools and practices.
- Mentor and act as a point of escalation for internal team members.
- Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Take ownership of systems and liaise with third-party suppliers.
- Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance to minimize disruption.
- Manage backup and recovery processes.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and changes, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
- Be available for out-of-hours work as required.
