Requirements
Must:
- Experience of PROIV (or equivalent backend software package)
- Experience of Relational Databases, preferably Oracle or SQL-Server
- Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall development processes
- Experience using Epics, Tasks & Sprints within Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and branching policies in ADO
- Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate across multiple teams
- Experience in the HR/Payroll software/service industry is advantageous
- Understanding of functional areas of Payroll Applications (e.g., Payroll Configuration, Tax & NI, BACS, RTI) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the ResourceLink Product Management team to understand requirements
- Design solutions for Epics allocated to the team
- Maintain, design, build, and unit test product software using CI/CD pipelines
- Resolve bugs and ensure proper procedures for unit testing and delivery
- Provide 2nd line support to the ResourceLink Support team
- Analyze requirements for future developments with the Product Strategy & Planning team
- Provide estimates for delivery and ensure Agile methodology is maintained
- Present designs to the Product Strategy & Planning team and QA representatives
- Conduct thorough unit and link testing to validate performance and optimize solutions
- Document all unit and link tests to meet development standards for QA
- Support the QA team during the software QA process
- Collaborate with other Engineers to meet delivery deadlines for Epics and bugs
- Provide demonstrations and training on developed software to relevant parties
- Ensure Version Control procedures are adhered to
- Manage RFH and bugs within Azure DevOps, prioritizing effectively
- Flag issues and action plans to the Lead Engineer as necessary
- Participate in the Product/Release Walkthrough with Product Management and QA
