Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience as an Android Developer, with a strong understanding of Android application architecture, lifecycle management, and UI design.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, with a solid understanding of Kotlin syntax, features, and best practices, including Kotlin Flows, extensions, and higher-order functions.
- Significant experience with Jetpack Compose and Jetpack libraries.
- Proven track record of working on similar projects and re-writing Android applications from the ground up.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimizing application performance.
- Experience with Restful APIs integration.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Unit Testing, and Automated Testing.
- Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM) environment.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, integration, and delivery using Git and Azure DevOps.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop white-label mobile applications.
- Guide best practices for setting up new Android applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
- Work with the development team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
Description
We are a global organization looking to bring on board an Android Developer for an initial 3-month contract. This role is hybrid, requiring two days per week onsite in Leicester. As part of the project, you'll be involved in rewriting our customer-facing app, bringing your senior-level expertise to guide our team throughout this process. We offer a competitive daily rate of Β£450 - Β£475, and this position falls outside IR35.
