Requirements
Must:
- 2+ years' experience with embedded firmware development in C.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers such as STM32 and ESP32.
- Understanding of low-level architecture and real-time data handling.
- Knowledge of hardware debugging.
- Ideally, a formal qualification in computer science, electronics, or a related field.
- Comfortable working in a team environment.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to commute 3 days per week to the Bromsgrove site.
- Must have the right to work in the UK, as sponsorship will not be provided.
Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and maintain firmware on embedded systems, focusing on sensors, data acquisition, and communication protocols.
- Support the wider team and collaborate with all R&D departments, including hardware engineers for PCB design.
- Implement and streamline communication protocols within low-level systems (UART, I2C, SPI, etc.).
- Debug and test firmware as necessary.
- Utilize version control systems such as Git to track changes.
- Work Monday to Friday, with 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
