Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in senior or principal data engineering roles. You should have expertise in AWS, Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL. A strong background in cloud-native data platforms, real-time processing, and data lakes is essential. You should also have hands-on experience with tools such as Airflow, Kafka, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD. Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills are crucial for this role.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will lead the design of scalable and secure data architectures on AWS. You will build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch and streaming data. Additionally, you will deploy and manage Apache Spark jobs on Databricks and Delta Lake, write production-grade Python and SQL for large-scale data transformations, and drive data quality, governance, and automation through CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders will be a key responsibility, as well as mentoring and guiding data engineering teams.
Description
We are offering a salary of £84,000, along with a 10% bonus and a 6% pension contribution. Our benefits package includes private medical insurance and flexible options.
