Requirements

Must:
We are looking for someone with proven hands-on experience with Camunda BPM, preferably versions 7 or 8. You should have strong knowledge of BPMN 2.0, DMN, and CMMN standards, along with proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs. Experience with the external task pattern and Zeebe (Camunda 8) is essential. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is also important. You need to have a solid understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems. Additionally, experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices is necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities, are required.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will ask you to design and implement BPMN workflows and DMN decision tables using Camunda. You will develop custom Java delegates and external task workers. Integrating Camunda with REST APIs, microservices, and third-party systems is crucial. Collaboration with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions will be expected from you. You will also be responsible for optimizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting existing Camunda workflows. Adhering to best practices in process modeling, versioning, and deployment is essential. You will participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities. Monitoring and maintaining the performance and reliability of the Camunda engine is part of your responsibilities as well. Additionally, you will need to produce and maintain technical documentation for workflows, decision tables, and integrations.

Description

This is a hybrid role located in London, requiring 2-3 days on-site work. The contract duration is until December 31, 2026, with a day rate of £382.50, which is inside IR35. This long-term contract offers the opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation initiatives within a secure environment. A Camunda Certified Developer certification is advantageous, as is exposure to frontend technologies such as React or Angular for task forms, knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems, and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
