Requirements
Must:
I am seeking candidates with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) in a manufacturing environment. A strong knowledge of food manufacturing workflows is essential, including production orders, inventory management, quality control, and compliance (e.g., BRC/HACCP). Proven experience with Continia Document Capture or similar Accounts Payable automation tools is required, along with a solid understanding of finance processes such as Accounts Payable, purchase ledger, and reconciliation. Additionally, experience with batch traceability, lot tracking, and expiry/shelf-life functionality is necessary. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to customise and configure Business Central effectively.
Responsibilities
As the Business Central Specialist, I will rely on you to configure, customise, and enhance Business Central across various functions, including finance, purchasing, inventory, production, and quality control. You will optimise Accounts Payable automation using Continia Document Capture or similar tools and maintain and improve integrations with warehouse, quality, and compliance systems. Configuring key manufacturing ERP features such as batch traceability, lot management, and shelf-life control will be critical. Furthermore, you will deliver training, documentation, and change management support for end-users, troubleshoot issues, maintain data integrity, and oversee routine updates. You will also support finance operations, including Accounts Payable/Receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
Description
I encourage applicants with experience in EDI, warehouse scanning, or shop-floor data capture tools to apply, as this is desirable for the role. Knowledge of food safety and compliance standards, familiarity with SQL Server, APIs, and integration strategies, and previous ERP implementation or upgrade experience are also advantageous. A Microsoft certification in Dynamics 365 is a plus.
