Requirements

Must:
I am looking for an experienced and driven Technical Project Manager with a strong background in leading complex development projects that include hardware, firmware, and software. You should have over five years of hands-on experience, successfully delivering projects using structured lifecycle processes and Agile methodologies while ensuring quality and efficiency at every stage. Your expertise should encompass managing full software development stacks, from planning and prioritization to resource allocation and progress tracking. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Microsoft Project is essential for keeping teams aligned and projects on track. A strategic mindset in development planning is also important, with the ability to produce and maintain resource-levelled plans. A collaborative and motivating leadership style will enable cross-functional teams to thrive under your guidance. Clear and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels and an analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making are key traits we value. Ideally, you will have experience in the Telecare or Telecoms sectors and have managed outsourced software development. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a formal project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or AgilePM, is preferred. You should be organized, detail-oriented, and resilient under pressure, excelling at juggling multiple priorities and deadlines. A passion for delivering innovative, practical solutions and ensuring service readiness through thorough documentation, testing, and configuration management is essential.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Project Manager at Appello, I will rely on you to oversee and coordinate complex technical projects that involve the development and delivery of hardware, firmware, and software solutions. This role is critical for ensuring successful project execution through effective collaboration with internal and external teams, while maintaining a focus on quality, timelines, and cost-efficiency. You will be responsible for managing the software development stack, ensuring resources are effectively planned, allocated, and managed, and creating an overall development plan that balances internal capacity with external outsourcing where necessary. Your key responsibilities will include: - Project Planning & Execution: Defining roadmaps, tracking progress, managing risks, and ensuring stakeholder alignment. - Team Coordination: Collaborating across internal functions and managing external suppliers for seamless integration and delivery. - Development Oversight: Guiding hardware, firmware, and software development to ensure technical alignment and adherence to Agile practices. - Resource & Outsourcing Management: Maintaining development plans, balancing capacity, and managing outsourced work. - Lifecycle Governance: Overseeing service design, parallel testing, and deployment readiness. - Post-Launch Support: Designing support systems, ensuring service continuity, and implementing feedback loops. - Change & Quality Management: Controlling scope changes, assuring quality, and conducting post-implementation reviews. - Budget & Vendor Management: Managing budgets and contracts to ensure cost-effective, compliant delivery.
