Requirements
Must:
We seek candidates with at least 2 years of experience in networking. A working knowledge of cable specifications and applications is essential, along with an understanding of network concepts and key networking protocols such as OSPF, STP, BGP, DHCP, TCP, and IP. Applicants should also have experience with switches, routers, and firewalls, as well as knowledge of LAN and WAN environments. A good understanding of network security and best practices is required, as well as familiarity with the RF fundamentals of wireless networks.
Responsibilities
In this hybrid role, you will assist in the provision and operational support of network services and contribute to various capital projects throughout our business. You will be responsible for troubleshooting network performance issues, analyzing network traffic, and providing capacity planning solutions. Your duties will include providing specialist expert technical support for installation, configuration, and operation of edge and distribution layer devices. Additionally, you'll manage the day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of network services, ensuring they remain effective and capable of meeting user demands. You will propose and develop service improvements, design systems to maximize capabilities, and manage the implementation process while ensuring effective communication with external stakeholders. Furthermore, it will be your responsibility to maintain and review operational processes and facilities related to network services regularly.
Description
Our Infrastructure Team manages a complex multi-vendor network estate and associated support services such as DNS, DHCP & IPMAN (DDI), RADIUS, and Network Access Control (NAC). We are excited to welcome a Network Engineer who will work on both network projects and day-to-day operations, contributing significantly to our ongoing success and ensuring our network services operate seamlessly for our users. The role is hybrid, involving three days onsite and two days working from home.
