Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for candidates with a relevant qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL v3/4, CompTIA A, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, etc.) are a significant plus.
- I seek individuals with proven experience in IT support and administration, particularly in an engineering environment.
- Candidates should have knowledge of licensing models for various software products (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, CAD Applications).
- Experience with system monitoring tools and techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server operating systems and patch management tools is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as I need someone capable of influencing and negotiating effectively.
Responsibilities
- I will expect you to provide application support and manage incident resolution against established SLAs, particularly focusing on SharePoint Online, CAD, PDM & PLM.
- You will configure monitoring tools with automated alerts to ease troubleshooting and monitor application health and performance, addressing any issues promptly.
- Your role will involve planning and executing server update and patch management strategies, ensuring critical updates, security patches, and firmware upgrades are applied to servers and applications in a timely manner.
- You will capture requirements and create a plan with vendors and end users to ensure a fully featured end solution, implementing new systems while fully documenting all changes.
- Maintaining an accurate inventory of software licenses and subscriptions, monitoring license usage for compliance with vendor agreements, and assisting in negotiating and renewing software licenses will also fall under your responsibilities.
- Additionally, you will provide third-level IT support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues and assisting in troubleshooting server-related problems.
