IT Systems Engineer

- Over 5 years of experience working in IT infrastructure in a production environment. - Experience in a company with a turnover exceeding £20 million and with more than 200 employees. - Proficient in managing helpdesk and incident resolution processes. - Familiarity with supporting and maintaining Windows Server environments. - Experience in firewall management (preferably Sophos XG or similar). - Skilled in infrastructure monitoring and performance analysis. - Knowledgeable in network infrastructure support (Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols). - Experience with virtual environments (e.g., Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V). - Proficient in backup and data protection strategies, including developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to urgent IT needs. - Experience monitoring and troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, sharing knowledge proactively. - Commitment to providing clear technical guidance to end-users. - High attention to detail in documentation and system monitoring. - Positive, proactive, and service-driven mindset. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Adaptable and flexible with changing priorities and business growth. - Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure. - Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and accountability. - Professional, friendly, and approachable with a team-focused attitude. - Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. - Willingness to learn and continuously improve technical knowledge.
