Must:

- Proficiency in C programming within an embedded environment is essential.
- Experience with embedded processors and real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with interfacing hardware devices and peripherals.

- Competence in requirement analysis, software design, and software architecture.
- Experience with source control tools such as SubVersion and Git.
- Strong team working ability and a drive to deliver on time.
- Self-starter with adaptability and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, debug, test, and maintain software for embedded applications, including low-level microprocessor code and higher-level software designs in an embedded operating system environment.
- Work collaboratively with hardware and software engineers to achieve specific project goals based on future product requirements.
- Develop and implement application logic, peripheral drivers, protocols, and human-machine interfaces, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Deliver high-quality software within agreed timescales and budget constraints.
- Design and produce robust code that meets company standards.
Description
I am seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team, offering a competitive salary of approximately £75,000. The successful candidate will have demonstrated embedded programming experience, both in low-level and high-level coding, and a solid background in C programming. Experience with C++ in an embedded environment, Object Oriented Design and Programming, and familiarity with Desktop applications and GUI/event-based design will be considered a plus. Knowledge of issue-tracking tools like Jira, software release processes, and DO-178 standards will be advantageous.
