Requirements
Must:
- Strong technical expertise, ideally with a degree in software, computing, electronics, control systems, or automotive engineering. We will consider significant relevant experience if you do not have a formal qualification.
- Proven experience in Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow, with a minimum of 3 years in complex embedded programming and debugging within a high-volume product industry.
- Knowledge and experience in vehicle/machine/engine control systems.
- Familiarity with development processes for real-time control systems, including software version control systems such as GIT.
Responsibilities
- Direct and participate in the design, development, and support of complex 'real-time' Embedded Engine Application Software features.
- Interface with internal partners and electronics system development engineers to implement solutions that meet their needs, including determining requirements and developing related software functionality.
- Develop software functionality implemented in models using Matlab/Simulink.
- Create test cases to enable feature testing on Hardware in the Loop (HIL) systems.
- Conduct verification and validation of engine control features throughout the development process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electronics/control system issues encountered during the build and test of engine software.
- Integrate, configure, and compile subsystem software.
Description
This opportunity is located in Peterborough, within the Engine Applications Software Team responsible for the development, implementation, and support of embedded software for power systems. It is a 12-month assignment that is likely to be extended. We offer a competitive hourly rate for this role, which can be structured as Umbrella or PAYE. Applicants must have the existing right to work in the UK, and evidence of eligibility will be required. Suitable candidates will be contacted.
