Requirements
Must:
We require candidates to have at least 4 years of experience developing web applications using React.js and TypeScript. You should have a strong knowledge of Tailwind CSS and responsive design principles. Experience with Storybook for building UI libraries or design systems is essential. Familiarity with GlueStack or similar platforms, such as Firebase or AWS Amplify, is also expected. Practical experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway, S3, and Aurora, is required. Additionally, an understanding of relational databases and basic Infrastructure as Code (CDK, CloudFormation) is important. Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, along with a solid grasp of DevSecOps practices and secure development standards (OWASP, etc.), is crucial. Competency in testing with tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress will be beneficial. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be working in both client-facing and team environments.
Responsibilities
As a React JS Developer, I will expect you to build responsive, user-friendly UIs using React.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. You will create and maintain reusable components using Storybook and collaborate with design and architecture teams to deliver high-quality UX implementations. You will integrate front-end components with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and utilize AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, S3, Aurora, API Gateway) in application workflows. Additionally, you will work with GlueStack or similar serverless platforms for full-stack development, maintain high code quality through testing, documentation, and peer reviews, and contribute to CI/CD processes using tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins. You will apply secure coding standards and support application monitoring and optimization while also participating in Agile ceremonies and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Description
We are offering a hybrid working model, with 2 days required onsite in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the contract will last for 6 months.
