Requirements
Must:
- 12 years of software development experience, with deep expertise in ReactJS and TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of frontend architecture and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI integration (including chatbots, recommendation engines, summarization).
- Solid API integration skills.
- Familiarity with AWS services, such as SageMaker and Bedrock, for hosting Generative AI models.
- Must be eligible for BPSS clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and build of scalable, modern UI applications.
- Architect and deliver GenAI-powered features, including intelligent assistants, content generation, and adaptive user interfaces.
- Integrate with Next.js / Node.js APIs and Generative AI endpoints.
- Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility as well as application security.
- Mentor junior developers and promote best practices within the team.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to deploy applications and Generative AI models on AWS.
Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead UI Developer with a strong background in ReactJS and Generative AI integration to join our major financial services project located in Glasgow, requiring 2-3 days on-site attendance. This contract role is set to last until June 2026, and we offer a competitive rate of £420 per day (Inside IR35, via Umbrella). Candidates with Angular or hybrid frontend experience, exposure to CI/CD and cloud-native development, knowledge of LangChain, Hugging Face, or OpenAI SDK, and AWS certification will be given bonus points.
