Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with strong experience in concurrency patterns, CLR, and scalable application design. A deep understanding of Azure services, including Functions, App Services, AKS, and Logic Apps, is essential. You should have hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB, particularly in query optimization and throughput management. Familiarity with distributed systems and NoSQL data modeling is also required. Proficiency with Git, version control, and CI tools is necessary. Advanced proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core with strong object-oriented design principles is desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will architect and develop cloud-native applications using Azure Cosmos DB (SQL & Mongo APIs). You will design and implement partitioning strategies, indexing, and consistency models. Building reusable libraries and frameworks in C#/.NET or Node.js will be part of your tasks, as well as developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. You will monitor and optimize Cosmos DB performance using Azure Monitor & Application Insights, implement automated testing and unit test frameworks, and collaborate with solution architects and DevOps teams to integrate Cosmos DB into microservices. Ensuring compliance with security, governance, and data protection standards will also be a key responsibility.

We are a large global consultancy seeking a DB Admin & Developer to play a crucial role in designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performance applications tailored for the banking and financial services sector. These are hands-on roles that involve architecting cloud-native solutions using Azure Cosmos DB. The contract is for an initial period of 6 months, located in Central London, with day rates for administrators ranging from £400 to £450 and for developers ranging from £450 to £500, both positions being inside IR35.
