Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in PowerBI development and semantic modeling.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, DAX models, and Power Query.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with CoPilot for PowerBI and CoPilot agent development.
- Ability to mentor and coach both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in system analysis and optimization using AI tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Prior experience with ERP systems and analyzing data from ERP systems is considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- I will define and maintain key semantic data models to support PowerBI reporting and CoPilot for PowerBI insights.
- I will ensure semantic models are governed and represent a single point of truth across the organization.
- I will collaborate with internal and third-party stakeholders to define technical controls that support robust data governance.
- I will ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- I will lead the development of PowerBI dashboards and data connections.
- I will work with the wider team to design and deploy CoPilot agents that deliver measurable business value.
- I will act as the technical lead and mentor for CoPilot and PowerBI usage.
- I will promote adoption and best practices across departments.
- I will analyze business systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- I will recommend and implement enhancements or replacements using AI and automation.
Description
- A third party will be consulted for Microsoft Fabric expertise, data connection architecture, governance strategy and advisory, and ongoing support and guidance for key ideas and technical direction. - I am looking for a self-motivated and proactive individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with the ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. - High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, along with a good understanding of data governance and security principles, is necessary. - This is a hybrid role based in Milton Keynes, with occasional travel to other UK sites as required.
