Must:
We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience (5-8 years) in a PMO or similar governance/assurance/portfolio environments, ideally within financial services or regulated sectors. You must possess a strong ability to produce reports and communicate complex status, risk, dependency, and financial information to senior stakeholders. Proficiency with PMO/PPM tools and dashboards, including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, is essential. A strong understanding of project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and governance frameworks is expected. Your excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills will be crucial. An analytical mindset that allows you to identify trends, forecast risks/issues, and provide data-driven insights is important as well as strong attention to detail and quality.
Desirable qualifications include experience working in central banks, regulators, or large public sector bodies, as well as formal qualifications such as PRINCE2 or Agile certifications. Experience in implementing or transitioning processes/tools/frameworks, knowledge of benefit realisation/performance metrics, and experience in large transformation/IT change programmes is a plus. Additionally, a good understanding of the regulatory/compliance/risk environment is desirable.
Responsibilities
As a Senior PMO Analyst, I will provide senior-level support for the delivery of high-impact change programmes and projects. I will ensure robust governance, reporting, and assurance across portfolios/projects in alignment with our strategic priorities. Acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders, both business and technology, I will provide visibility, oversight, and actionable insights.
I will oversee the full lifecycle of PMO activities, which include planning, initiation, execution, monitoring & control, and closure. My role will involve producing and maintaining high-quality management information (MI), dashboards, board reports, and executive pack materials. I will maintain and escalate R-A-I-D (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs to ensure visibility in risk and issue management. I will also be responsible for project financial tracking, governance forums, resource management, assuring the quality of artefacts, and championing best practices in project methodologies and PMO tools. Additionally, I will mentor and guide junior PMO staff and engage with stakeholders across various functions to ensure alignment with strategy, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
