Requirements
Must:
- Experience in data science, advanced analytics, or a strong interest in learning.
- Ability to conduct high-quality research efficiently, both independently and within small teams.
- Familiarity with version control and IT delivery tools.
- Understanding of how to apply machine learning to solve business problems.
- Experience in developing predictive and prescriptive analysis to derive key business insights, with the ability to clearly articulate findings to a target audience.
- Exceptional written communication and effective presentation skills.
- Willingness to learn best practices in software development.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) using pytest or other testing frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Apply data science product lifecycle principles to new projects including design, exploratory data analysis, building, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Contribute to the development of production data science models, monitoring their performance, and managing their lifecycle (including retraining, optimizing, and upgrading).
- Work on end-to-end data solutions, understanding complex business challenges, designing scientific solutions, and utilizing various data sets (including 3rd party and internal data) with advanced machine learning or statistical modeling techniques to derive insights.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and technical teams such as pricing teams to support the maturation of analytics practices within the organization.
- Write high-quality Python code following industry best practices for model training and deployment.
- Continuously develop knowledge and experience, including researching new techniques and technologies, and sharing insights with the team.
