Requirements

Must:
- A relevant PhD (or equivalent experience) and a strong technical degree in a relevant subject, backed by solid A-level grades. - Intellectual curiosity, drive, energy, and strong reasoning skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with researchers from diverse backgrounds. - Adaptability to rapidly evolving techniques. - Strong algorithm development and software engineering skills, particularly in computational modeling for image analysis, image processing, and/or machine learning (with a focus on CNNs for volumetric data). Experience with software architecture is increasingly important. Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, Keras, PyLattice, or similar technologies is preferred; knowledge of additional languages such as C++ is also acceptable. - Familiarity with computer vision, big data, geometric feature extraction, cellular imaging, timelapse imaging and tracking, volumetric tiling, voxel imaging, 3D graphics, spherical harmonics (3D or 4D hyperspherical), light-sheet microscopy, and particle image velocimetry (PIV), among other related areas, would be a plus.

- Participate in cutting-edge research projects involving image analysis in the life sciences. - Utilize evolving and experimental image processing and machine learning techniques, from modeling in tools such as MATLAB to developing image analysis (2D, 3D, and 4D) and machine learning software in Python. - Work with vast datasets ranging from terabytes to petabytes, leveraging significant computational power and high-performance computing (HPC) resources.
