Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with over 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated hands-on expertise in Apache NiFi and data pipeline design in regulated environments. You should have a deep understanding of core NiFi concepts, including FlowFiles, Processors, Controller Services, and Schedulers. Proficiency in Java and SQL is essential, and experience with C# and Scala is a plus. Familiarity with ETL tools, big data platforms, and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) is desirable. You should also have experience operating in hybrid environments, understanding secure data transfer protocols and disaster recovery planning, and familiarity with CI/CD practices and Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will ask you to design, develop, and maintain robust and secure data pipelines using NiFi and related big data technologies. You will troubleshoot and optimize NiFi flows, including performance tuning, error resolution, and flow control. Integration of NiFi with cloud platforms, databases (SQL & NoSQL), APIs, and third-party systems will be part of your daily activities. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements across data storage, transfer, and access layers is critical. You will also support data migration efforts, implement disaster recovery protocols, continuously monitor data infrastructure performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data platform capabilities with business needs.

You will need to be detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality delivery, as well as possess strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Building trust and managing stakeholder expectations through collaboration will be key, as you work closely with product, engineering, security, compliance, and business teams. Your comfort in Agile/Scrum environments and with Agile collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence will enhance our teamwork and project success.
