I am looking for a skilled Front-End Developer who is proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You should have strong hands-on experience with Umbraco or a similar CMS, including working with templates, content blocks, and plug-ins. Experience in responsive design, mobile-first development, and integrating third-party APIs is essential. Additionally, familiarity with Figma and working with SVGs is required. A solid understanding of usability, accessibility, and W3C/DDA standards is necessary, as well as experience across the full application development lifecycle. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you should be able to simplify complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders. We value an organized, self-motivated individual who can manage competing priorities under pressure.
Responsibilities
As a Front-End Developer, you will develop, support, and enhance web-based solutions and content management systems, primarily using Umbraco v13. You will collaborate closely with Communications and Design teams to implement intuitive front-end changes. Guiding and supporting internal publishers on best practices within the CMS will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will integrate web solutions with internal corporate systems, ensuring robustness and security. Proactively analyzing business requirements and translating them into functional digital solutions will be essential. You will evaluate, test, and implement emerging tools and technologies and troubleshoot and resolve incidents logged via the corporate service desk while keeping stakeholders informed. It is important to ensure that our websites meet usability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility standards, and to follow secure development practices in line with GDPR and internal IS protocols.
Description
This position is based in Kenilworth, with a hybrid work arrangement of two days in the office weekly. We offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 to £45,000.
