Requirements
Must:
- Proven OOP PHP development experience (5 years)
- Good knowledge of Laravel (this is essential)
- Relational database experience - ideally MySQL
- Knowledge of modern frontend development
- Good understanding of best practices around writing clean, maintainable code (DRY/SOLID)
- Decent Linux skills and ideally a good understanding of DevOps
- Experience of RESTful APIs
Responsibilities
In this varied role, you will join a small but well-established company that has been a leader in our niche market for 25 years. As an experienced developer, you will be part of a team of four, primarily focused on developing web-based systems that are customer-facing and essential to the way our client's business operates. You will provide leadership and mentoring to team members while working closely with the senior management team to understand and address the evolving needs of the business.
Description
We are located near Reading, Berkshire, and operate on a hybrid working model, requiring you to be in the office at least one day per week, with occasional additional days for meetings.
