Must:
We are looking for a PHP Developer who has experience with web development technologies, including PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Git. Experience with PHP outside of its use within frameworks is a plus, as well as familiarity with large application codebases. To thrive in our team, you should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, be organized, and work well with others. A willingness to learn and the ability to remain calm under pressure are important attributes for this role.
Responsibilities
As our PHP Developer, your duties will include:
- Building and maintaining our organization’s back-end platform
- Writing clean, understandable code
- Contributing to the planning of digital projects
- Leading all phases of the development lifecycle
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to comprehend the needs of both the organization and our users
- Providing technical resources to integrate all of our digital systems
Description
We offer an exciting opportunity to join our expanding digital team at Southampton University Students Union, where you'll engage in innovative web development projects within a hybrid work model, working from home and at our Highfield Campus office at least three days a week. This full-time, permanent position comes with a salary range of £30,250 to £34,545 per annum, a 35-hour work week, and a variety of benefits including 46 days off annually, a defined contributions pension scheme, discounted bus passes, and opportunities for professional development.
