Must:
To be successful in this role, we require evidence of project implementation and work experience gained in a data analysis-related field as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You should hold an undergraduate or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, or provide evidence of equivalent practical experience. Experience with statistical software, database languages, big data technologies, cloud environments, and machine learning on large data sets is essential. We are looking for someone who demonstrates leadership, self-direction, and a willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques. Experience within a cloud data science environment, such as AWS Sagemaker, would be beneficial. Additional requirements include: - Proficiency with Python and commonly used data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, and langchain. - Significant experience with SQL. - In-depth knowledge of NLP algorithms such as topic detection, sentiment analysis, and generative models. - Experience in deploying machine learning models into a production environment. - The ability to articulate and translate business questions, using statistical techniques to arrive at answers with available data. - Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style to suit different audiences. - Extensive work experience, including expertise in statistical data analysis techniques like linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling methods.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will understand the requirements and needs of our business stakeholders, developing strong relationships with them to form hypotheses and identify suitable data and analytics solutions that align with our business strategy. You will maintain and develop curiosity around new and emerging trends in data science, keeping up-to-date with the latest developments and tools, and sharing updates within and outside of our team. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing complex Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) models. - Participating in Generative AI experiments. - Proactively bringing together statistical, mathematical, machine-learning, and software engineering skills to explore multiple solutions, techniques, and algorithms. - Implementing ethically sound models end-to-end, applying software engineering principles and a product development lens to complex business problems. - Working with and leading direct reports and wider teams in an Agile manner within multi-disciplinary data groups to achieve agreed project and Scrum outcomes. - Utilizing your data translation skills to closely collaborate with business stakeholders in defining business questions, problems, or opportunities that can be supported through advanced analytics.
