Requirements
Must:
We expect you to have strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark, along with experience in metadata-driven ETL/ELT processes. You should be familiar with AWS technologies such as AWS Glue, Databrew, S3, AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL, and Quicksight. Additionally, experience with version control using GitLab and CI/CD practices is essential. A solid understanding of security and networking principles, particularly in AWS deployments, is also important. Furthermore, you should have experience in handling both structured and unstructured data. An AWS focus with relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Data Engineer, will be beneficial. We value your experience with complex data migrations and your strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary, as well as a good understanding of Infrastructure as Code and GIS data models. If you hold or have previously held high-level security clearance, we encourage you to apply. Please be aware that successful applicants will require security clearance prior to appointment, which may take a minimum of 10 weeks.
Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will design and implement efficient data ingestion pipelines to and from databases and file storage services. You will also be responsible for transforming and cleaning raw data to ensure quality and consistency. We expect you to build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines to support automated data flows and enable real-time processing. Monitoring data quality and implementing measures to ensure accuracy and completeness will be part of your role, as will managing and maintaining databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) to ensure optimal performance and security. You will deploy and manage data infrastructure on cloud platforms, primarily AWS, and collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide high-quality data solutions.
