Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years of experience using SAP in Production Planning.
- Experience using SAP in Material/Quality management is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-sufficient; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to travel across the UK as required.
- Must be a solely UK National.
- Must be able to quickly complete clearance requirements if successful.
Responsibilities
- Operate as the subject matter expert in SAP Production Planning, providing professional advice and making recommendations to support business queries and requirements definition.
- Design and develop business/process enhancing solutions within SAP independently.
- Deliver early life support for new solutions and support established in-house developed solutions.
- Add value to existing business processes/procedures by improving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in the management of third-party and internal suppliers.
- Deliver projects from design to completion to achieve required business outputs.
- Influence and negotiate with key project stakeholders, using data and analysis to support reasoning.
- Co-ordinate and supervise the activities of team members as necessary.
- Take ownership of and solve complex technical problems and issues within the specialty.
- Provide support for data migration projects as required.
- Understand business data requirements and translate them into a solution framework/architecture.
- Work with business experts and technical resources to facilitate incident and problem resolution.
- Ensure effective communication with business and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate the development of code elements and conduct reviews.
- Obtain acceptance for all deliverables from the business.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external standards for all solutions.
Description
We are seeking a Production Planning Consultant to join our team as an SAP Specialist. This is a full-time temporary position, working 37 hours per week until October 2025, with the possibility of extension. This is a remote, home-based role; however, you must be willing to travel across the UK, primarily in Yeovil, Somerset, and to other locations including Basildon, Luton, Bristol, and Edinburgh. Expenses will be covered. You will be responsible for delivering business solutions and enhancements, providing patches/fixes for deployed business solutions, supporting User Acceptance Testing for new business solutions, and assisting business users in producing user guides and training documentation.
