Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in Linux software with hands-on experience using the Linux terminal, including SSH connections, basic diagnostics, and knowledge of Linux infrastructure and administrative tasks (e.g., stopping and starting services, managing files).
- Experience with IP networking, including running ping tests and trace routes to assess system health.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for identifying and investigating system issues.
- Experience with RF (radio frequency) or low power radio is a plus, as you will communicate with on-site engineers to run signal tests and check diagnostic systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage incident response, ensuring customer issues are resolved efficiently and service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Monitor system metrics to maintain the stability of thousands of devices in the field.
- Own the incident management process and proactively troubleshoot customer issues.
- Collaborate with software teams, hardware teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure optimal service performance.
- Act as the second point of contact for customer support, triaging tickets and resolving sensor, gateway, and cellular connection issues.
- Mentor and manage a non-technical support team member, guiding their professional development.
