Must:
We are seeking a candidate with strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, and experience in modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. You should have demonstrated experience with generative AI technologies, including large language model architectures. Additionally, knowledge or experience in designing and developing digital healthcare tools is preferred, along with natural language processing capabilities for medical text analysis, generation, and interpretation. We value the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts, and familiarity with high-compute cloud-based platforms like AWS is advantageous. Knowledge of code version control and MLOps deployment approaches is also essential. You should be adaptable to meet cross-organizational goals and able to understand healthcare challenges to effectively apply AI solutions.
Responsibilities
As a Principal AI Data Scientist, you will support the implementation of innovative, complex, and transformative AI/ML/GenAI solutions in Clinical Trial Execution and Digital Healthcare within our Research and Development team. Your responsibilities will include optimizing clinical trial operations, focusing on patient recruitment, retention, real-time data monitoring, and automated data collection systems. You will also contribute to the development of GenAI applications for automated clinical trial documentation, including medical reports and patient narratives. Additionally, you will design and develop predictive models and generative AI solutions using diverse healthcare data sources, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business challenges and deliver AI-driven value. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards is also a key part of your role, along with facilitating knowledge sharing within our Data Science and Research and Development teams.
Description
This position requires an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or a related field, along with 3 to 5 years of professional experience, and at least 1 year applying AI/ML techniques in healthcare or clinical research data. Experience in healthcare/AI implementation and knowledge of digital healthcare tools design and development are beneficial. Physical demands of this role include occasional mobility within an office environment, routinely sitting for extended periods, and constant operation of office machinery.
