Requirements

Must:
- Proven experience as a key player in delivering technical solutions as part of large projects. - Familiarity with modern delivery models such as Scrum and other Agile methodologies. - Experience working in a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. - Proficiency with Azure DevOps. - Experience writing Unit Tests, using tools such as MS Test, and understanding TDD principles. - Strong understanding of RESTful web services. - Excellent knowledge of React and experience with Next JS. - Strong understanding of Node JS. - Understanding of DevOps principles. - Deep understanding of architectural principles such as SOA and Micro-Services.

Responsibilities

- Design, code, test, and document small to large complex applications and solutions in a cloud-first environment. - Build web-based Front End interfaces that interact with RESTful APIs using React, Next JS, and other web technologies. - Collaborate closely with test engineers to ensure common understanding of acceptance criteria, the code base, and test coverage. - Implement toolkits and APIs for integration, performance optimisation, security, and scalability. - Proactively investigate problems and opportunities within existing processes, communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders. - Identify and manage problems, incidents, risks, and issues according to IPO standards. - Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver user-focused digital services while ensuring adherence to governance standards. - Maintain an open mind and explore innovative solutions to problems, working in a fail-fast manner to deliver required functionality. - Support the assessment of the Public Digital Services produced by adhering to, demonstrating, and documenting compliance with GDS (Government Digital Services) standards.

We offer a hybrid working arrangement, with a requirement of at least 20% of your time spent onsite at our Newport Office. The specific attendance requirements may vary by role, and we encourage you to discuss your preferred working arrangements with the recruiting manager. In addition to a competitive salary of £64,079, we contribute £18,563 toward your membership in the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
