Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an individual with extensive experience in the Audio-Visual industry, specifically in AV systems design, integration, and engineering leadership. You should have a proven track record of managing installation teams and be hands-on from the first fix to commissioning. A deep understanding of AV technologies, including video distribution, networking, control systems (such as Crestron and Extron), audio processing, projection, and display systems is essential. Strong team management and organizational skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, are required. Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are critical. You must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure. A willingness to travel across the UK for installations, including the potential for overnight stays and weekend or out-of-hours work, is required, though we will not ask for more than six weekends per year.
Responsibilities
In your role as a Senior Engineer, you will help us grow and improve our engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. You will oversee the offsite prefabrication and installation of AV systems at our customer sites while ensuring compliance with industry standards and health and safety regulations. You will assist with the development and implementation of engineering best practices, processes, and documentation. Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development will be a key part of your role. We expect you to keep up to date with emerging AV technologies and trends, recommending strategic technical improvements and supporting our hardware and software development teams. Additionally, you will troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert-level support when needed, lead the onsite installation team to deliver bespoke AV installations throughout the UK, and strive to deliver great customer service with a focus on 'right first time' engineering.
Description
We are committed to building the best engineering team in the business, and you will be a vital part of that vision. We will provide you with the tools, training, and environment to thrive, empowering you to take ownership of problems and make the best decisions to support our customers and help grow our business. Desirable Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, AV Technology, or a related field is appreciated, along with industry certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I. Experience with AutoCAD or similar AV design tools will be beneficial.
