Must:
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer who has a University degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field. You should possess extensive hands-on experience with embedded software development in C and knowledge of Bare metal and RTOS environments. Proven line management experience of small teams (around 3-7 people) is essential. A strong understanding of electronics and how embedded software interfaces with both electronics and software is crucial. We value a diverse background, so a career spanning several different industry sectors is highly beneficial. Additionally, experience navigating commercial and delivery pressures within a consultancy environment is required.
Responsibilities
As our Lead Software Engineer, you will primarily contribute directly to engineering work, covering 80% of your role. You will also provide line management for a small team and support project planning while helping to shape software processes and the technology roadmap. You will work on a wide range of projects, from embedded systems for radar and sensing technologies to advanced communication systems.
Description
We offer a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to spend 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The salary for this position can reach approximately £80,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes private healthcare, a company bonus, 25 days of holiday, life assurance, and free refreshments. Please note that applicants must be British Passport holders.
