Requirements
Must:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT support role.
- Ability to use initiative to research issues, explore, and deploy solutions.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft ecosystems, including:
- Windows Server (2012–2022) administration and troubleshooting.
- Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP management.
- Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Intune administration and support.
- Exchange Online and hybrid email environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching.
- Experience with firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery.
- Basic PowerShell scripting or automation experience is desirable.
- Experience with antivirus, EDR, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license (occasional client site visits required).

Responsibilities
- Act as an escalation point for 1st line support tickets and handle incidents through to resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across desktops, servers, and networks.
- Configure, maintain, and support Windows Server (2012–2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and file/print services.
- Manage and support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and Azure AD.
- Administer and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor system health, patch management, and security compliance.
- Assist with client onboarding, documentation, and infrastructure audits.
- Participate in project work such as system upgrades, migrations, and cloud transitions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed ticket notes, ensuring SLAs and response times are met.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
- Use our Ticketing System to work on and resolve Helpdesk Tickets & Service Requests.
- Ensure client documentation is well maintained and that tickets aren’t “stale” throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate time logs.
