Requirements
Must:
To succeed in this important role, I expect you to have well-developed technical expertise in M365, Azure, AWS, cloud networks, telephony, and digital systems. Experience with scaled agile frameworks and implementations is essential. You should have worked on optimal technical designs through an iterative process and be skilled in the design and review processes for new solutions and services. Additionally, you must be capable of presenting recommendations for improvements to technologies or systems. As a committed champion of the development of technical architectural practice, you’ll ensure a consistent strategy across cyber, cloud, data center, storage, network, mobile, and user experience infrastructure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as you will be coaching and mentoring other members of the architectural community and engaging with development opportunities across government. Additionally, you must be a British citizen at the time of your application and will need to attain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance, which may take approximately three months depending on your circumstances.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the technical design of systems and services, exploring the benefits of aligning them across government. You will collaborate with your colleagues to solve a range of problems requiring broad architectural thinking. Providing guidance and advice to other technical architects in the Directorate, you will mentor team members and develop your technical expertise. You will also have access to a great online learning platform, opportunities to attend industry events, and the chance to network with technology leaders in other government departments.
