Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Agile and ITIL Foundation level or equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Fundamentals role-based certification.
- Level 3 Information Communication Technician or an equivalent level 3 qualification in IT, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
- Proven experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Apple iOS in enterprise or secure environments.
- A strong technical understanding of hardware, operating systems, and software.
- Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
The following skills would be an advantage:
- Experience within ITIL environments.
- Microsoft role-based certification such as Microsoft Associate.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Microsoft Azure, Intune, and SCCM.
- Knowledge of relevant components, devices, processes, and protocols.
Responsibilities
As an Engineer End User Computing, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing the product life cycle of all service-raised incidents and requests, ensuring seamless technology operations at FCDO Services.
- Keeping customers informed on progress and advising on workarounds as necessary.
- Engaging directly with end-users on-site to resolve hardware and technical issues swiftly.
- Prioritizing tasks based on business needs and dependencies.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and providing resolutions for technical faults.
- Escalating unresolved issues to service desk, incident, and problem managers.
- Conducting routine (re)configuration and installation of secure managed devices, optimizing their performance.
- Following agreed methodologies, standards, and processes in decision-making.
- Ensuring secure disposal of equipment and reviewing technical and operational process documentation to minimize downtime and maintain organizational productivity.
- Actively pursuing professional development and sharing knowledge with team members.
