Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years of industry experience in a GIS role
- Degree in Geography, GIS, Land Surveying, or a related discipline
- Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro/ArcMap, QGIS, and AutoCAD
- Experience with web-based GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Online) & databases
- Familiarity with land referencing and producing compliant plans for legal documents
- Strong MS Office skills
- An understanding of UK property law and environmental datasets
- Ability to manage workload independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain spatial datasets and maps using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and other software (i.e., LSS)
- Produce Land Registry compliant lease/licence/transfer plans for internal legal use
- Integrate and maintain datasets in a GIS terrier system linked with FCC's Environet, built upon Microsoft SharePoint
- Support planning and permitting applications with accurate geospatial data
- Perform land referencing and due diligence using title deeds and mapping resources
- Generate maps for business development, including catchment areas, heat maps, and competitor analyses
- Collaborate with various teams to provide geospatial support for strategic projects
- Work with external consultants and data providers as needed
- Manage tasks and deadlines through a SharePoint-based tracking system (to be implemented)
