Must:
- I have experience in making high-stakes decisions about architecture and technology. - I possess extensive technical expertise across Linux and Windows operating systems. - I have an exceptional understanding of electronics and systems design. - I am experienced in developing applications and embedded software in C/C++, Java, Python, and Rust. - I have hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Helm Charts, Terraform, or Ansible. - I am skilled in full-stack development using the Angular framework. - I have experience with hardware-software integration and developing software using internet, application layer, transport layer, and security protocols. - I am proficient with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD. - I have an in-depth understanding of video and image processing. - I am able to quickly learn new technologies and propose innovative solutions. - I am adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks efficiently. - I have experience in researching and evaluating software products. - I possess excellent communication skills at all levels, including with customers. - I have a solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

- I work on the most complex and mission-critical projects. - I collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, to develop and maintain software. - I assist the Software Engineering Manager with requirements management, estimation, and planning. - I focus on high-level architecture and long-term technical strategy. - I devise and implement innovative solutions to improve software processes and quality. - I integrate software with hardware to deliver complete systems. - I optimize application architectures for scalability and performance. - I monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. - I design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes. - I provide technical mentoring to engineers across the organization. - I manage the sprint board.

Description

- I have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, or a related field, along with 10 years of firsthand experience in software (including firmware) development and DevOps. - I appreciate the importance of designing and implementing graphical user interfaces and have a strong appreciation for physics, especially radiation-related topics. - I am willing and able to apply for and maintain the correct security clearance for this role, including the UK Employees - Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC). - I understand the physical requirements of the role, which include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer as well as the ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times. - If I am a passionate and detail-oriented software engineer looking for a new opportunity to drive excellence in product architecture and delivery, I would be excited to join this dynamic and talented team in the UK.
