Requirements
Must:
- A strong background in IT Security, Cyber Assurance, or IT Audit.
- Hands-on knowledge in governance, IAM, threat management, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- A good understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, SOX).
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders within complex environments.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC) are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct IT security assessments across infrastructure, cloud, applications, and service operations projects.
- Review and test security controls to ensure operating effectiveness.
- Document risks, gaps, and recommendations for remediation.
- Support project teams to embed security requirements from the outset.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and provide clear, actionable reporting.
Description
We are a leading financial services organization seeking a Secure by Design Consultant to join our IT Risk, Security & Control function in London. This is a 6-month contract position, paying £680 per day (Inside IR35), with strong potential to convert to a permanent role. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering secure-by-design assessments across our technology projects, ensuring compliance with our IT security policies and industry standards.
