Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with cloud compute, storage, and configuration, ensuring solutions are repeatable, scalable, resilient, and highly available.
- Expertise in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in working with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
- Skilled in writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Ability to identify and automate toil to enhance efficiency, increase reliability, and reduce repetitive manual tasks.
- Familiarity with service management frameworks (ITIL - Incident, Problem, Change).
Responsibilities
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for Hybrid Cloud Services, I will design infrastructure solutions that adhere to best practices, emphasizing operational stability, resilience, and availability. I will collaborate with Architects, Site Reliability Engineers, Delivery Managers, and Product Managers to support the implementation and operation of cloud-hosted products and services. My role will require a broad skill set, including expertise in Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Packer, while I work within a team responsible for cloud infrastructure design and implementation using CI/CD tooling.
Description
We offer a competitive salary of up to £68,517 along with a generous civil service pension that includes employer contributions worth 28.97%, totaling over £16,000 per year.
