Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an experienced Contract Platform Engineer with a strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud technologies. You must have demonstrated experience in building infrastructure from scratch in previous contracts. Solid experience with Terraform and hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and management are essential. In-depth cloud experience is required, ideally with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), although experience with AWS will also be considered.
Responsibilities
As a Contract Platform Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure solutions using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker. You will take ownership of the end-to-end infrastructure setup, ensuring reliability, security, and performance. You will closely collaborate with development and operations teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies. Additionally, you will troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize cloud-based solutions.
Description
This is an initial 3-6 month contract based in Northern Ireland, but we may consider contractors working remotely from elsewhere in the UK. The day rate is competitive and based on experience.
