Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrable knowledge of writing and maintaining Infrastructure, and Configuration as Code.
- Practical experience of using Unix/Linux and Microsoft Windows Server in a support and/or development environment, including experience with scripting languages.
- Practical experience using PowerShell, DSC, and Ansible.
- Proven experience working in a DevOps environment with Continuous Integration & Deployment, delivery methods and techniques, including agile Scrum experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and Azure DevOps.
- Experience supporting, guiding, and developing engineers across multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment.
- Demonstrable experience developing and supporting Azure cloud applications.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer, you will utilize modern tooling to develop CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains. You will craft and implement solutions that are highly available, resilient, scalable, extensible, and maintainable across multiple cloud environments. Your role will involve working across the organization to promote a mindset shift towards engineering ownership, emphasizing the integrity and maintenance of the services we deliver. The code you write and the decisions you make will shape the engineering landscape of DWP and improve services used by millions of people seeking work and accessing support and payments. You will have opportunities to collaborate with product-focused teams to gather requirements, evaluate tools, implement or update solutions, provision environments, and assist with operational issues.
