Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate at least some of the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience in taking business requirements and designing, implementing, and producing high-quality end-to-end products.
- Proven ability to collaborate with team members to produce high-quality software solutions while adhering to established development practices.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of integration with React, Next.js, and Ionic applications.
- Technical knowledge and experience in producing resilient services to provide API services to front-end systems.
- Expertise in Microsoft .NET and .NET Core.
- Proficiency in developing RESTful backend services.
- Familiarity with standard patterns that support the use of unit test tooling and code decoupling.
- Experience with disciplined and controlled delivery of solutions (CI/CD) across all environments to production.
- Knowledge of delivering solutions using Azure DevOps pipelines and supporting services.
- Experience working in a Scrum/agile environment.
- Appreciation of Single Page Applications such as React and Next.js.
- Technical expertise in designing and developing reusable and testable microservices.
- Knowledge of designing and building secure databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of our Technology function that is responsible for delivering business and technology change, including providing robust infrastructure and IT service operations. Your role involves:
- Collaborating with the team to envision and develop integrated, optimized solutions that are scalable and commercially viable.
- Building informed and robust, future-oriented technology and skills capabilities that align with our business strategy.
- Delivering high-quality software solutions and ensuring adherence to acceptable development practices.
- Contributing to the design and maintenance of RESTful APIs and resilient services that connect with front-end applications.
Description
This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work from our Southampton-based head office two days a week.
