Requirements
Must:
- Experience managing and technically leading a software engineering team.
- Strong soft skills to interact with clients, demonstrating credibility in technology and overall delivery.
- Proven capability in shaping the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, driving improvements across development, testing, deployment, and operational phases.
- Ability to implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and efficient release management strategies.
- Enhance system performance using load testing, caching, and optimizing database queries and application logic for better scalability and response times.
- Expertise in modern engineering standards such as TDD, contract testing, and secure coding, as well as architectural patterns like event-driven architecture and platform migration.
- Experience providing technical subject matter expertise to shape bids and client proposals, with the ability to present proposed approaches and discuss technical implementation with prospective clients during the sales process.
You must be eligible to work in the UK full-time without restrictions and be qualified for SC clearance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a dynamic digital and data team alongside product, design, and other cross-disciplinary experts to bring ideas to life through innovative software solutions.
- Work on a broad variety of projects and tech stacks for clients across seven sectors; no project is ever the same.
- Advocate for using the right technology for the right task, while working with programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, and C#.
- Utilize frameworks like Vue, Angular, React, Node, Next, Spring, Spring Boot, and .NET/ASP.NET.
- Engage with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure, and implement CI/CD practices with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure Bicep.
- Ensure pragmatic and safe usage of AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
