Requirements
Must:
We require a motivated and experienced IT Security Engineer with a strong knowledge of CrowdStrike. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a SOC/Security Engineer in a cloud environment. Additionally, we are looking for someone with:
- Strong experience with CrowdStrike
- Experience with a range of SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability management tools
- Experience advising on security best practices and developing SOC playbooks
- Networking and infrastructure experience, particularly with firewalls and IDS/IPS
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (ideally)
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on detection, investigation, and response to security incidents using SIEM and other security tools. Key duties include:
- Carrying out forensic and root-cause analysis
- Analyzing emerging threats and providing recommendations to mitigate risks
- Ensuring adherence to industry standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, and GDPR
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of SOC playbooks, security policies, guidelines, and best practices

This position is a full-time onsite role in our brand-new Central Manchester office, where you will collaborate with both onsite colleagues and our international security operations team across America and EMEA Regions. We offer a starting salary of up to £60k, depending on your experience.
