Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a 2nd Line Engineer with a solid background in a Microsoft tech stack and experience within a managed service environment. The ideal candidate should possess:
- MSP experience, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Office 365, SCCM (or similar), and Active Directory
- Excellent communication skills, along with strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi 7.0, Veeam Backup & Replication, and Hyper-V
- The ability to explain technical issues clearly to end users across all levels of the business
- A clean UK driving license
Responsibilities
As a 2nd Line Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering technical assistance to our clients. Your tasks will include:
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
- Setting up and configuring hardware and software
- Overseeing user and device management
- Addressing technical queries and resolving problems
- Escalating support tickets through our service desk to ensure prompt resolution
- Updating the ticketing system to log calls accurately, including notes, progress, and required actions
- Responding to Service Desk phone calls and tickets as needed
