Requirements
Must:
- Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Possess a broad knowledge of risk and security.
- Able to formulate a communication strategy of a company’s risk posture to its board of directors using quantified data.
- Proficient in the preparation of presentations, analytical reports, and documents regarding program operational status, achievements, and performance.
- Proficient in at least one of the following technologies: PowerBI.
- Understanding of Agile, XP, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Testing, Delivery, and CI/CD practices.
- Minimum of 3 years of overall experience in the information technology field.
Responsibilities
- Lead the effort of shaping the security metrics across the information security department.
- Participate in product scoping, discovery, framing, and inceptions, providing technical input and helping to translate user features into system design.
- Lead and participate in inceptions and iteration planning meetings, infusing backlogs with technical input and working in close partnership with the product manager.
- Lead and participate in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups.
- Facilitate retrospectives, demonstrating and encouraging each participant to provide feedback with empathy.
- Serve as an expert in the domain of information security and act as the anchor of the team, practicing technical leadership.
- Guide the team in choosing the right technology, solving technical problems, and resolving any technical conflicts within the team.
- Establish continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices.
- Lead and participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the overall growth of the collective knowledge of the information security community.
Description
We are looking for a Managing Engineer who will architect and design security metrics and data insights used to communicate the security posture of information security to an executive audience. This individual will lead a team that creates digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems. They will systematically apply scientific and technological knowledge, methods, and experience to design, implement, test, and document PowerBI or software products. Additionally, they will own and manage the running of their applications in production and ultimately become accountable for the success of their digital products through achieving KPIs. The Managing Engineer will plan, direct, design, and execute complex and critical IT-related activities and programs, selecting, leading, counseling, motivating, setting expectations, and evaluating medium to large teams. Familiarity with cloud architecture and services, such as AWS, and code reviews and penetration testing is preferred. A CISSP Certification is a major plus. Please note that this position includes supervisory duties.
