Must:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
- 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
- Deep expertise in Guidewire InsuranceSuite v10 (ClaimCentre, PolicyCentre, BillingCentre) configuration and customization.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud migration.
- Strong understanding of general insurance and claims processes.
- Proven integration experience with downstream systems, including finance, payment gateways, telephony, and document management.
- Skilled in integrating third-party data feeds into cloud platforms.
- Experience migrating data from legacy systems to Guidewire.
- Ability to produce clear high- and low-level design documentation.
- Experience reconciling data between Guidewire and enterprise data warehouses.
- Strong communication skills for working with business and technical teams.
- Comfortable engaging directly with customers and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with full SDLC.
- Guidewire ACE certification.
- Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe).
- Flexible and adaptable in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will lead the technical strategy and architecture for the Guidewire platform, providing end-to-end technical leadership that aligns architecture with our enterprise IT strategy. I will serve as a trusted technical advisor to both business and IT stakeholders, guiding decisions to maintain platform integrity and align with our strategic goals.
I will design and build high-performance Guidewire components (PolicyCentre, BillingCentre, ClaimCentre) for longevity and extensibility, actively participating in hands-on development of key modules and integrations. I will own the deployment strategy for Guidewire features and ensure smooth integration across environments while monitoring system health to address performance, scalability, and reliability issues proactively.
Working closely with business analysts and product owners, I will gather requirements and design robust, platform-aligned solutions that support future needs and long-term agility. Additionally, I will promote Agile practices and modern engineering across teams, mentoring developers in clean code, TDD, CI/CD, and DevOps to cultivate a high-performing delivery culture.
I will establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and architectural principles, leading code reviews and audits to uphold best practices and ensure high software quality. I will keep up with Guidewire updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies, driving innovation and continuous improvement to foster a culture of technical excellence.
